I hope your summer has been full of joy, memories, and the arts. I just got back from a 10-day adventure to colorado with my girls and mom. Part of our journey was one of discovery – discovering the vast spaces and sights that can only be experienced through driving and being a tourist and relishing in the beauty of this country. The reason we made a vacation of and headed to colorado was for me to replenish my soul and be inspired by my more than just great dancing family. For 2 days, I was surrounded by the most passionate, selfless, and driven bunch of people on the planet!

I truly believe in the mantra your vibe attracts your tribe and I am priveleged to be part of this tribe of individuals that not only inspire me to live my mantra to do more-be more-and serve more, they challenge me to become a better human and business owner.

While I was immersed in positivity at the member rally, my girls got to experience More than Just great dancing classes at Summit DanceWorks in Colorado Springs. Lydzi Barnes and her staff scooped up my girls, challenged them to engage their critical thinking and problem solving skills with diverse teaching and dance styles and gave them an opportunity to share in the universal language that is dance.

All in all, I would consider our adventure to colorado a success on all levels. It’s not always easy for kids to sit in the car for hours and hours, however, there is much to be learned by doing so. Armed with loads of books art supplies aplenty, and a few movies thrown in for a change of pace, I can say we truly lived an arts-filled experience.

This leads me back to the podcast. Over the past several episodes, we’ve explored the benefits of many art forms and tips to find local activities for your kiddos this summer. I hope you’ve found the episodes helpful in filling your summer with arts but are ready to now apply those principles in finding arts activities for your kiddos during the school year.

Today I have 3 special opportunities for you to be part of this podcast and work with me personally.

This podcast is absolutely a labor of love. I love learning and so enjoy bringing on guests to share their expertise. I’ve learned something new from each of our guests and I get excited about what each of them brings to you. I also enjoy sharing what I’ve learned over the past 16 years running a performing arts school and raising my own daughters. Learning and how the arts can propel success in school and in life is the reason this podcast exists. Now I want to hear from you. I’ve created Google form for you to tell me what you like about the podcast, what topics would you like me to dive into on future episodes? Who would you like to be a featured guest? And don’t forget that you are an expert, too. You’re a parent that cares tremendously about your child’s success otherwise you wouldn’t be listening each week. You can access the the form on our website.

Opportunity #2: Refer a Musician

Since this podcast is all about raising smarter kids through the arts, I want to feature more artists on the show.

Refer a musicianI’m looking for some up and coming musicians to feature on the intro and outro of this podcast. Featured musicians will be announced and credited with to their websites or social media channels from our website and on our FB page. As a family friendly show, it goes without saying that song lyrics should be G-rated. To suggest yourself or musicians you know, you can add them to the same link I shared earlier. I’m super excited to help propel the careers of budding musicians and am eager to read your suggestions.
